TITLE: Repurposing Chemotherapies against Menigiomas
PRESENTER:
Craig Horbinski, MD, PhD
Professor of Pathology, Director of Neuropathology in the Department of Pathology Feinberg School of Medicine
WHEN: Monday, January 24, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
INTERESTED IN HIGH THROUGHPUT USE CASES? Northwestern pathologist Craig Horbinski will discuss how he screened a large panel of FDA-approved chemotherapies using patient-derived meningioma cells to identify candidates for repurposing against meningioma, i.e., tumors that arises from the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
The High Throughput Analysis Core (NU-HTA) is a shared, open-access resource that provides equipment and expertise for the development and execution of high throughput biological analysis and screening. The facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art liquid handling and microplate detection instrumentation.
